The background and pet really convey the unwelcoming and dreadful setting that cryptstalkers would find themselves in.
There's this strange but appealing power fantasy in games like WoW that as you vanquish and conquer your foes, you progressively adopt their powers and attire: in defeating your enemy, you become as your enemy. And the cryptstalker armor set is the visual embodiment of that idea.
